Open Government Licence – Toronto

Our live data comes from the City of Toronto's Municipal Licensing & Standards business licence dataset, published under the Open Government Licence – Toronto. The licence lets anyone copy, adapt and use the information commercially, on condition that they acknowledge the source. When you display or share information derived from it, include:

Contains information licensed under the Open Government Licence – Toronto.

The licence doesn't let you suggest the City endorses you or your use of the information, and it doesn't cover the City's logos or crests. FileSignal is independent and is not affiliated with the City of Toronto.

Every dataset

Generated from our source registry. “Live” datasets feed signals today; “building” and “planned” ones are being evaluated and are listed so their licence status is transparent. See coverage for cadence and pull status.

What we don't use

  • No web scraping — only documented open-data APIs and downloads.
  • No Google Maps or Places data, and no purchased contact lists.
  • No dataset whose licence doesn't permit reuse. Sources with unclear or “access only” terms stay planned until that's resolved.

Questions or corrections

If you publish one of these datasets and want us to change how we credit it, or you think we've misread a licence, please contact us. To correct the underlying record, contact the publisher directly.
